the soudn that sounds a bit like a ray gun

its wuite good, but a bit annoying after repeats, mixing it differently could add to the song. And a it could suit a more reverb/chorus effect i beleive, make it sound a bit more like a background threat i think its trying to acheive, good work though :) Its a nice idea, nearly great. Keep it up :) x

Yeah I had a feeling it could grate on some people, generally I think mastering is the problem even though Ive made great progress improving it.

very good

I like it all, i think the melody loses a lot of its excitment being in 4/4, however ( it loses a lot of pace). The Voice used for it is excellent, nice and powerful and the rest aren't half bad either.
I'm learning this on classical guitar atm and hearing as a dance song makes me wanna try it out for myself as something like this.
So + Love your style and the hardhitting voices
+Good song choice
+The parts weave together very nicely
- Slightly repetetive, even though the melody is developed.
- the original melody just sounds a little slow in this context to me, if i had heard this without knowing the original, it wouldn't probably sound pretty fine though, just flouts the expectation i guess.

So, yeah, sounds really good, keep it up :)

dreadnought106 responds:

Thanks. bringing up the pace i was going to have a second variation of the melody where it speeds up but it was already 6 minutes long... anyways thanks for the review!

Love the hardhitting mixing and voices. I think this is perfect for a dance. the melody just after one minute mark could be better, but the feel of the song is just perfect for a lively dance. Nicely done.

Sacrafan responds:

Thx =D
You sound like you know music, so i'll check ur page out!

this version loops better!

Much more solid and listenable in my eyes. And the loop is muchh better!
Keep at it!

CryteX responds:

thank you for your comment´(s). ive just found out how to extract it to make a loop^^

fine for a test

Neats some sort of song to break down into. Sounds a bit like an air raid alarm (kind of?) to me. But yeah, the patch is nice, do something constructive with it and see how it turns out ;)

Hikari responds:

lol thanks, the thing in the background is the patch, the guitar sounded cool, becaues i did it my self xD

love the mood and voices

Sets a great mood with some good voice choices and would work fantasticalluy in the background to something. My only probablem would be listening to it on its own it doesnt have enough material to make it a 'must-listen', another melody and thus a lenthening of the songwould vastly improve this in my eyes. Other than that, fantastic, good luck in the future.

MikeBlade responds:

Hey thankz for the review. I will note everything you said and will try better in the future.

Powerful!

It really kicks in after that intro, I can only suggest having a more powerful voice to bring it in, or changing it to something novel, that though it doesn't nessecarily sound nice, will grab the attention of the listener.
Love the upbeat tempo and feel. Keep at this, you have quite the knack for it!

Bunnymajs responds:

well thank you :)
it was a pretty fast putt together song, but when i got the time i'll fix it up a bit :D

nice

it sets a great atmosphere
the only thing i might say is that while i like the slightly off timed notes, it would be nice if it settled into a more straightforward song at points, just to keep it esy on the ears.
It could work really well takin part of this as an intro and developing a second section as a solo piano part if you wanted.
The end is also so sudden, it needs somewhere to go, or just a fade out. Infact, a fade out could be a great way to progress this int oa more 'hard-hitting' section. It depends what you want to do with the song. As an ambient piece, its lovely, if you wanted to progress it even further however, bringing in new styles, i think this ccould work as an excellent introduction as well.
Basically its up to you, although i personally feel it feels unfinished and would sound good progressed, you may feel otherwise.
I can just see so many paths this could go down, it feels a shame to have such a sudden end to the piece.
Sorry if this review rambled a bit, but anyways, a quick overview.
Lovely song, with a lot of potential for any development or lengthening. Sets a GREAT mood, t seriously carried me away in it for a while when i first listened. To me theres just so much more it can become. Good work, and thanks for listening to some of my stuff :) Happy easter? aha

nameless11 responds:

happy easter to you my new internet friend :P. I am considering doing a huge track with this as an intro or i may just touch it up. Ambient is one of my favorite genres and im glad you took time to give me some advice to better it. ill be sure to check out more of your work as you submit it.

nice sounds

how did you make it?
What stuff did you use?
I've tried to make stuf liek this but i cant get past a basic bleep, so theres not much sound variation =( (except for LSDJ and thats just too hard for me)
would sound really nice if it ran into a section of double time where it could really get a fast groove on the go, maybe at the sectio nat about 1:40 where you get the 'swooshing' sound, its a pretty godo song though, keep it up :)

RandomPanda responds:

Oh I use the Magical 8Bit Plug-In. O: It's a VST you can use with any DAW. I use FL Studio 8.
Thanks for listening! & Thanks for the review! :D

nice, but

I can't get my head aroudn that hi-hat.
I'm glad you didn't overuse the melody, its good to hear a tetrixs remix that isnt the same as the original but with a new drum beat. Good luck with more stuff!

XTriNovaX responds:

which hi hat?

Please rate my songs, I'm new to dance music and some crit would be lovely. I'm also rubbish at naming them, so new name suggestions would be great. =)
